Setting the scene

The Orientation Seminar which is lead by a trained Holocaust Educator, sets the scene and prepares you for the actual visit to Auschwitz /Birkenau...

The tour

We will usually spend approximately 3 full days in Krakow. During these three days we will get to know Jewish Krakow, visit the camps and talk to a survivor.

Further education

The Follow-up Seminar which is also lead by a trained Holocaust Educator, allows students to reflect on their experience and the impact it had on them.

Project work

After the summer holidays, students will design and implement projects in their schools and communities aimed at sharing their experiences and disseminating the lessons they have learned.

Learning From Auschwitz

Our Current Sponsors

The main difference between Learning from Auschwitz in Gibraltar and Lessons from Auschwitz in UK apart from the way it is funded, is that in UK students go on a day trip to Auschwitz/Birkenau whereas LFA Gibraltar organise a longer and more complete experience.

The Gibraltar Government Education Department wholeheartedly supports this project and facilitates our access to all Year 12 students in Westside School, Bayside School, College of Further Education and Prior Park.

Learning from Auschwitz is funded by Gibraltar Government and private donations from various Trusts, Corporations and personal sponsors, some of whom wish to remain anonymous.

The charity would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again because without them, this project could not have developed in the way that it has.
